The Golf Gym at Tee Box

The golf swing is a coordinated athletic movement that requires the body to generate, transfer, and control force. A good swing requires strength, mobility, balance, coordination, rotational power, and endurance.

When the body moves efficiently, golfers swing efficiently and maintain their movement patterns throughout practice and play. Developing a high physical capacity helps golfers handle the repetitive demands that come with training consistently.

All Tee Box locations include a dedicated gym space where members can work out, stretch, and condition. The equipment is selected with golf performance in mind, so members can develop the necessary strength, mobility, and overall athleticism.

How To Train Like A
Professional Golfer

While strength is a core aspect of training for any golfer, the best golfers don't simply lift weights. Strength training lacks efficacy if it is not supplemented with endurance and mobility training. Combining all types of training prepares the body to perform repeated movements without risk of injury.

There is no single workout program that every golfer should follow. Every golfer brings a different body, background, schedule, and set of goals into the gym. That's why Tee Box members receive personalized training programs built around their individual strength and conditioning needs.

The following types of training can help golfers at all levels develop their game:
Strength

A strong body creates a foundation for athleticism. Golf strength training should develop the entire body rather than focusing on isolated muscles. This includes strengthening all muscle groups, ligaments, and joints. Lower-body, upper-body, and core strength all contribute to a golfer's ability to create and control the force needed to swing a club and hit a ball.

Conditioning

A round of golf requires lots of walking and can last several hours. Productive practice sessions include sustained physical and mental effort that mimic the conditions on the course. Conditioning helps golfers maintain energy for extended periods.

Mobility

A golfer needs enough mobility to move through their swing. Restrictions in areas such as the hips, shoulders, and thoracic spine can influence how the body moves. Golf-focused mobility training helps Tee Box members develop movement that benefits their swing mechanics.

TPI

TPI, or the Titleist Performance Institute, provides a golf-first approach to understanding how the body moves in relation to the golf swing. Tee Box has TPI-certified professionals who use their knowledge of movement and physical performance as part of the development process. This helps connect what happens in the gym with what happens during the gam

Athletic Development

Balance, coordination, stability, speed, and rotational power can all be developed through athletic training. Athletic development helps golfers become more confident in their movements inside and outside of the gym. The goal is to transfer physical improvement into better golf performance and be the best version of yourself.

Individual Fitness Assessments

Every golfer who comes to Tee Box has a unique history with golf and begins at their own pace. Our coaches evaluate each person through a series of assessments to curate an individualized training program rather than relying on a generic workout.

Coaches consider the following to create training plans:

  • Age
  • Golf goals
  • Training experience
  • Current fitness level
  • Schedule and lifestyle
  • Mobility and movement quality

These factors matter because the most effective program isn't necessarily the most difficult one. It's the program a golfer can execute consistently while progressing toward their goals.

Not only that, but it is clean and professional so its a great place to workout, network, and practice. They even have a kids area so your kids can hangout too. I highly recommend trying this place out. Just ask for Gage and he will get you taken care of.

  • Great place to work on your game with the Trackman and get a workout in, especially when it’s too hot outside. Cliff, the owner, is very kind and always helpful.
    — Cody W | google | 08.30.2025
  • I am new to Tee Box and did a physical assessment with Kyler today. He was very professional and reached out before hand to ensure I was ready. During the assessment he was very patient, thorough and explained everything and how it pertains to golf. He showed me what areas I’m weak in and how to improve those weak areas. We hit a few balls afterwards to see my functionality and so he can observe movements. He even gave me some pointers and coached me through some things. I immediately saw improvement. He then walked me through how the track man system works and how to navigate everything. I highly recommend Tee Box to any golfer at any stage! I also highly recommend linking up with Kyler or any other Tee Box coach to get an initial assessment done!
    — Kyle Neville | google | 08.04.2025
  • Great gym setting, super sleek interior. I got a great workout done with all the weight equipment there. The cable machine is my personal favorite!
    — Ava Rees | google | 06.20.2025
  • Great facility and easy to use. Owner is great and they continue to make renovations to make the facility top of the line!
    — Ryker Mele | google | 04.14.2025
  • Just got set up after a fitting with Jordan and I can’t wait for my new irons to get here!! He was awesome to work with and got me into a combo set built around my swing. Zero pressure and didn’t try forcing me into a brand I didn’t like looking down at. He knew I was comfortable with the top line, look and feel of Titleist irons so we started there, tried a few others and then came back to Titleist the end. We spent most of our time getting the right shaft figured out for my ball flight and speed. Can’t wait to get back in for a driver fitting!
    — Skylar Kendell | google | 04.03.2025
  • So glad l have a place to go to! This is the best place to go and get my swing on!
    — Blythe Kasai | google | 02.11.2025
  • Tee Box has been such a unique and impactful way to improve my game. Jordan specifically has made such a difference and would 100% recommend both Tee Box and Jordan.
    — Jackson Pritchard | google | 03.11.2025
  • This place is awesome. Nicest simulators I have ever played. Not to mention the lessons, fittings, gym, puttview, etc. Also the people here are all the friendliest people you’ll ever meet!
    — Izik Pompa | google | 03.05.2025
  • I am a member of the Centerville Tee Box and I LOVE IT! It is SO nice to be able to play golf at any course in the world, in a beautiful, well-maintained environment, right down the street from my house! The owner/operators/employees are welcoming, helpful, and great to talk to. I can play any day/any time I want, any season of the year! It's like a mini vacation. The fact that a golf lesson each month is included with membership is icing on the cake. I can bring my friends any time, and we really have fun hanging out, playing some golf, watching the snow fall outside; or staying out of the 100-degree weather in the Summer...It is indeed my happy place!
