Improve your putting with visual guidance, projected training aids, and detailed data from PuttView technology at Tee Box.
Putting accounts for a significant portion of the strokes you take during a round. Even PGA Tour players average about 29 putts per round. Compared with an overall scoring average of about 71 strokes, that means roughly 41% of their strokes are putts.1
Strong drives, approach shots, and chipping can help reduce the number and difficulty of putts you face, but improving on the green still requires solid putting fundamentals.
At Tee Box, we use PuttView in Uintah, UT as part of our golf development system. Players can practice indoors on a consistent surface, see immediate feedback, and understand elements like speed, break, slope, start line, and distance.
PuttView is an interactive putting training system that helps golfers better understand how to read, aim, and execute different putts. After each hit, players can review their performance and use that feedback to make adjustments.
The system combines several technologies and training tools to create that experience:
PuttView maps the contours, slopes, elevation changes, and other characteristics of an indoor putting green to create an accurate digital model and understand how the surface will affect each putt.
Once mapped, PuttView adapts its projected lines and visual aids to the specific surface. By changing the starting position and target, golfers can practice a variety of straight, breaking, uphill, and downhill putts on the same green.
Overhead projectors display training information directly onto the putting surface. Instead of trying to visualize how a putt should travel, golfers can see information directly in front of them, including:
After each putt, PuttView's tracking technology follows the ball across the green and records the result. Golfers and coaches can compare the intended putt with the ball's actual path and evaluate:
Tee Box Pros use PuttView’s projected visuals and performance feedback to teach skills like green reading, aim, speed control, start line, and other putting fundamentals.
Instead of relying on verbal instruction alone, coaches can show players what they are seeing directly on the green. Players can then make adjustments, test them on their next putt, and see how those changes affect the result.
With PuttView practice at Tee Box, sessions can be customized around each player’s goals and areas for improvement.
Here are a few putting scenarios and skills that can be incorporated into training:
PuttView records performance across multiple practice sessions. This means golfers and their Tee Box Pro can monitor and compare metrics such as accuracy, speed consistency, drill performance, and overall progression.
Instead of relying on feel alone, players can use their results to understand how they perform, where they need to improve, and what to focus on next.
Stay connected to your game. Book sessions, track your progress, connect with your Box Pro, and more in the Tee Box app.
