Understand the connection between your body and your swing with TPI-certified coaching at Tee Box.
No two golfers move exactly the same, so they shouldn't be coached the same way. The Titleist Performance Institute in Uintah, UT, or TPI,1 helps coaches understand how a golfer’s movement and physical abilities can affect the swing.
Every Tee Box coach is TPI certified. We use that training to look at both movement and swing mechanics, giving each golfer instruction based on what their body can do.
TPI is an education and certification organization focused on the connection between the body and the golf swing.2 Rather than teaching one way to swing, TPI trains golf instructors, fitness professionals, physical therapists, and medical providers to understand how a golfer’s movement can impact performance.
TPI looks at physical abilities that influence your swing, including:
How well you control your movements
Your ability to produce and control force
The range of motion available to your body
Your ability to stay controlled throughout the swing
How well your body moves through different positions
Looking at these areas helps coaches see when a physical limitation may be affecting the swing and build a realistic improvement plan.
Every Tee Box Box Pro is TPI certified.3 This gives our coaches a shared approach to player development and helps maintain consistent coaching standards across Tee Box locations.
TPI certification also includes continued education, helping our coaches stay current with modern golf performance methods.
TPI training helps our coaches:
Every new Tee Box member receives a TPI-based movement screening as part of their Golf Performance Assessment.
During your Uintah TPI movement screening at Tee Box, a certified Box Pro will guide you through a series of simple movements. They then record the results to build a better picture of your movement and physical capabilities.
Those results become part of your Tee Box player profile. Your coach can use that information alongside your swing data to shape your development plan and decide where to focus your training.
Stay connected to your game. Book sessions, track your progress, connect with your Box Pro, and more in the Tee Box app.
