Wichita Golf Equipment

Clubs are not one-size-fits-all. Every golfer has a unique playing style, and it is difficult for players to hit consistent, accurate shots if they do not have the right equipment.

A golf club fitting in Wichita, KS, from Tee Box helps take the guesswork out of choosing clubs. We use performance data, launch monitor technology, and swing analysis to evaluate how your current clubs perform and identify the specifications that best complement you.

Club Fitting Process

Step 1: Consultation

Every club fitting begins with a conversation. Before hitting any golf balls, your fitter will take time to learn about you. Topics may include:

  • Playing goals
  • Your current clubs
  • Strengths and frustrations
  • Golf experience and skill level
  • Any equipment preferences or previous fitting experiences

This conversation provides valuable context and helps guide the rest of the fitting process.

Step 2: Performance Baseline

Next, you'll hit shots with your current clubs to establish a performance baseline using our TrackMan launch monitor technology. This gives your fitter a clear understanding of how your existing equipment performs before testing any alternatives.

Key measurements they’ll track include:

  • Spin rate
  • Ball speed
  • Club speed
  • Peak height
  • Launch angle
  • Total distance
  • Landing angle
  • Carry distance
  • Shot dispersion

Step 3: Comparing Equipment Options

Using the information gathered from both your consultation and baseline data, your fitter will have you test different combinations of clubheads, shafts, loft and lie angles, shaft flexes, and club lengths.

Each combination is evaluated using launch monitor data alongside your personal feedback. While performance is the primary focus, your comfort and confidence with each club are also important. Our fitters work to find the combination that performs best and feels right for your swing.

Step 4: Personalized Recommendations

Once testing is complete, your fitter will review the results with you and explain:

  • Which equipment performed best and why
  • Which upgrades, if any, are most likely to benefit your game
  • Which equipment we have in stock that fits your needs, if you are ready to purchase.

At Tee Box, we do not make recommendations based on brand, popularity, or price—every suggestion is based on your results and feedback. There is no obligation to purchase after your fitting.

  • Went in for the free assessment to see what it's all about and I'm already hooked. They offer coaching with complete swing analytics in more detail than I expected mind you! Plus a putting area with complete projection overlay to help with learning the break. I'm looking forward to going back and getting the most out of my new membership. Oh they are veteran approved by me!

  • I recently became a "Performance" member at Tee Box and my experience has been fantastic. First off, they are never closed! This is huge for me and my schedule. You can easily book, modify, and cancel hitting bay reservations in that app. The Box Pro is Jonathan. I was a little apprehensive about doing a coaching session, I am usually one to prefer to practice on my own. We did a "Box Assessment" and coaching session yesterday, and by the end of the session, my biggest weakness, my driver, was going straight and long. Jonathan really knows his stuff, not only the mechanics of the swing, but also equipment. Right away he recognized that my driver shaft was too light for my swing (despite it being stiff). He swapped it out (they have a ton of club fitting options), and adjusted my swing path a bit, and that was it. I have been struggling with my driver for a decade. The facility is brand new and state of the art. You can tell they were really thoughtful about design and implementation. The gym equipment is also brand new and there is a nice variety. The PuttView putting system is so fun and useful. If you are considering it, you should check it out. Tell them I sent you!

  • Spending time at Tee Box has drastically changed my game. The simulation tools allow me to focus in on specific parts of my swing, fixing one thing at a time, developing new muscle memory, etc. Getting an assessment from the pro, Jonathan, solved several problems in an hour. I recommend it even for the casual golfer. I wish I had access to these tools years ago when I started playing.

  • Such a fun date idea! It was a lot of fun and loved how nice it is! Highly recommend it

  • I got my Box Assessment done and I have a plan! Feels good not to just be in my own head trying to figure out how to improve but I have something specific to work on at Teebox and on the course. I am encouraged that I will be able to add consistency and yards to my game by following my development plan! I feel better putting in the work knowing I can see progress with all the technology available to me.

  • I am not a golfer but I was lucky enough to be invited to a team even hosted her and I had so much fun! I also have family who ARE golfers and 10/10 will 1000% recommend this place to them.

  • 1st off, I'm not a golfer! But I am a putt putter! LOL I had a fantastic time at Tee Box! I had the opportunity to visit Tee Box as part of an event and there were so many options. An awesome putting green with a variety of options to challenge your skills and then 3 booths to work on your driving, chipping and so much more. I found my sweet spot with the putt putt game options! They also have equipment to help you strengthen your body as well as coaches to help you improve your mind and game. What a fantastic experience. From the serious to the fun, you will find something at Tee Box!

Question markEquipment FAQs

The best golf clubs are the ones that fit your game. Consider your skill level, swing speed, height, and the types of shots you typically hit. It's also important to consider shaft flex, club length, grip size, and club forgiveness.

Taking these factors into account can help you choose equipment that supports your game now and as you continue to improve.

If you're just getting started, a simple set of clubs is all you need. A driver or hybrid, a few mid-irons, a wedge, and a putter will help you learn every part of the game without making club selection feel overwhelming.

As your skills improve, you can add more clubs to your bag based on your game and playing style.

There’s no single “best” brand; there is only the best fit for you. Top brands like Ping, Mizuno, Callaway, and TaylorMade all produce high-quality clubs, but each offers varied features, technologies, and performance benefits that may suit different players.

A quality beginner set typically costs between $500 and $1,200, depending on the brands and clubs you choose. It's a good idea to set a budget before you start shopping and look for clubs that match your current abilities.

At Tee Box, we'll help you find equipment that fits your game without paying for features you may not need yet.

The most forgiving golf clubs for beginners are usually beginner or game-improvement clubs, designed to help golfers hit more consistent shots. Cavity-back irons, hybrids instead of long irons, and high-lofted drivers are all great choices for new players.

If you’re building a basic set or just getting started, the five most important golf clubs to have are:

  1. Driver: For long-distance tee shots
  2. 7-iron: Versatile and great for approach shots
  3. Pitching Wedge: Essential for short game and chipping
  4. Putter: Used on nearly every hole to finish the play
  5. Hybrid or 5-wood: Easier to hit than long irons and great for distance
