The Golf Gym at Tee Box

The golf swing is a coordinated athletic movement that requires the body to generate, transfer, and control force. A good swing requires strength, mobility, balance, coordination, rotational power, and endurance.

When the body moves efficiently, golfers swing efficiently and maintain their movement patterns throughout practice and play. Developing a high physical capacity helps golfers handle the repetitive demands that come with training consistently.

All Tee Box locations include a dedicated gym space where members can work out, stretch, and condition. The equipment is selected with golf performance in mind, so members can develop the necessary strength, mobility, and overall athleticism.

How To Train Like A
Professional Golfer

While strength is a core aspect of training for any golfer, the best golfers don't simply lift weights. Strength training lacks efficacy if it is not supplemented with endurance and mobility training. Combining all types of training prepares the body to perform repeated movements without risk of injury.

There is no single workout program that every golfer should follow. Every golfer brings a different body, background, schedule, and set of goals into the gym. That's why Tee Box members receive personalized training programs built around their individual strength and conditioning needs.

The following types of training can help golfers at all levels develop their game:
Strength

A strong body creates a foundation for athleticism. Golf strength training should develop the entire body rather than focusing on isolated muscles. This includes strengthening all muscle groups, ligaments, and joints. Lower-body, upper-body, and core strength all contribute to a golfer's ability to create and control the force needed to swing a club and hit a ball.

Conditioning

A round of golf requires lots of walking and can last several hours. Productive practice sessions include sustained physical and mental effort that mimic the conditions on the course. Conditioning helps golfers maintain energy for extended periods.

Mobility

A golfer needs enough mobility to move through their swing. Restrictions in areas such as the hips, shoulders, and thoracic spine can influence how the body moves. Golf-focused mobility training helps Tee Box members develop movement that benefits their swing mechanics.

TPI

TPI, or the Titleist Performance Institute, provides a golf-first approach to understanding how the body moves in relation to the golf swing. Tee Box has TPI-certified professionals who use their knowledge of movement and physical performance as part of the development process. This helps connect what happens in the gym with what happens during the gam

Athletic Development

Balance, coordination, stability, speed, and rotational power can all be developed through athletic training. Athletic development helps golfers become more confident in their movements inside and outside of the gym. The goal is to transfer physical improvement into better golf performance and be the best version of yourself.

Individual Fitness Assessments

Every golfer who comes to Tee Box has a unique history with golf and begins at their own pace. Our coaches evaluate each person through a series of assessments to curate an individualized training program rather than relying on a generic workout.

Coaches consider the following to create training plans:

  • Age
  • Golf goals
  • Training experience
  • Current fitness level
  • Schedule and lifestyle
  • Mobility and movement quality

These factors matter because the most effective program isn't necessarily the most difficult one. It's the program a golfer can execute consistently while progressing toward their goals.

  • UPDATE 10/28/25: Nearly all of my previous complaints were addressed by the owner and manager of the Kaysville Tee Box. I have increased it from 3 stars to 4 stars as a result of this. Truthfully, i'm not sure it is worth the price, as I don't use it as much as I used too. But that is on me, not the Tee Box. The fitness app has been improved and is back online, and the frames around the screen have been replaced, reducing the likelihood of ricochets and balls rebounding. See my original review below. I’ve been a member for about 9 months. I have loved it, but it is trending in the wrong direction for me. The equipment that was once new has gotten older, several of the pads around the hitting screens have worn out - sending balls occasionally careening off of the metal frames. It is rare, but does happen. My biggest gripe is that benefits are trending negatively. The fitness app (so called personalized plan) has become useless for me because they keep removing workouts. The first few months, my membership included youth camps for my kids but those are no longer free. There are a lot of positives too, the course selection on the trackman software is excellent, the gym is rarely used, and it is easy to reserve hitting bays, it rarely feels crowded, especially in the summer. It does get busier in winter though. I love being able to bring guests, that is a huge draw. I’ve really enjoyed it, but unless they fix the fitness app, I’m unlikely to renew my membership.

  • 24/7 Access is awesome, Kyler was great during the lesson, and everything was really solid. Great experience!

  • Tee Box has been a total game-changer for my golf game. I’ve been to other simulator bays before, but Tee Box takes things to a whole new level with their membership benefits. At this location, Kyler is the Tee Box Pro—a coach whose expertise elevates the entire experience by offering personalized advice and always being ready to answer any questions. As part of my membership, I receive one lesson a month, and Kyler has guided me every step of the way. I only started playing golf in 2023, and before joining Tee Box, my game was little more than hanging out with friends and struggling with inconsistent shots. From our very first lesson together, Kyler met me exactly where I was, breaking down the basics and offering multiple options so that the new techniques truly became part of my swing. I left our first session with practical drills to work on, and for the first time, my time in the bays felt genuinely productive and rewarding. Fast forward a few months—those initial adjustments, however, ended up throwing off my driver completely. I was frustrated, unable to hit a drive to save my life. When I told Kyler, he simply said, “I got you. Next lesson, we’ll work on it.” And he delivered. In our next session, his innovative techniques transformed my driver shot, and now I’m hitting drives better than ever. Kyler is nothing short of a magician when it comes to coaching, and every minute spent with him is an investment in your game. Beyond this location, Tee Box consistently provides the tools and support to help you improve—I've seen it at the Kaysville and Centerville locations, but I feel confident you’ll find a team that genuinely cares about your progress at any location. Tee Box has not only jump-started my golf game but also inspired a healthier lifestyle. I weighed 410 lbs back in November, and thanks to the motivation I’ve found here, I’m now down by over 50 lbs. Tee Box has transformed golf from a casual hobby into a powerful component of my overall well-being. Plus, with your membership, you get access to the TBX - Golf Performance app, packed with golf-focused workouts for every skill level—even tailored for someone like me who hadn’t done any structured exercise in over 10 years. If you love golf at all, I can’t recommend Tee Box enough—especially this location, where Kyler’s fantastic coaching makes all the difference.

  • Kyler has given me a few lessons and has locked in my 7 iron! Also a great place to get a lift in and work on your golf game!
    — Holden Schenck | google | 03.08.2025
  • Tee Box is a great golf simulator spot that’s helped my game a lot. If you, your friends, and/or family are into golf, it’s a blast especially in the winter when real courses aren’t an option. The trackman software is good and has a many courses all over the world which is fun to try. The facility offers four bays (three upstairs, one downstairs) plus a gym. It’s members-only, so you or someone you know need a membership to get in. The lessons provided by Kyler are great and if you come during normal business hours you will most likely see him. He is an awesome guy and super helpful if you run into any issues. This facility is also 24/7 when you sign up so if you want to play a virtual course at 3am no one is stopping you. That said, I won’t be continuing my membership as of now for a few reasons. The hitting strips are heavily worn with a big divot (except the new 4th bay), and though I’ve mentioned it, they have not swapped them out. Not as big of a deal but the Bay 1 projector is misaligned and the screen sags which makes the picture not look as clean as the others. Usually I avoid bay 1 unless if I bring a few guests. The membership is pricey in my opinion running at $200/month with a year commitment (includes all the perks like lessons, nutrition person and other things I'm probably forgetting) or $260 month-to-month (only includes gym and simulator access, with no extras) As of now I can't commit to a year with being in the military and don't want to pay the price hike for the month to month. Still, I’m giving it 4 stars because their $30-for-30-days trial is unbeatable. It gives you a great piece of what their membership entails. I’m hopeful they’ll address some of these concerns one day. If you’re on the fence, try the trial and form your own opinion if you would like to continue your membership or not. Be careful with the trial if you decide to cancel it you need to let them know 5 days before it ends or it enrolls you in the annual contract plan.

  • The Kaysville Tee Box is where it's Davis County! The gym and vibe are amazing. The massive putting surface is fantastic and who doesn't love hitting bombs in their bays?! Go meet their box pro Kyler Hall and see what all the hype is about!

  • Recently, the Davis Chamber of Commerce and the Laksider’s were at Tee Box for a ribbon cutting. We experienced first hand the services they have to offer. This facility is top notch and we are excited to support them as a chamber of commerce.
